Imm EdgeHD 11 Astrophotography Setup - 2020

Description

A number of you have asked me to post an image of my new Celestron EdgeHD 11 setup, so here it is.

The details:

Mount: Astro-Physics Mach1GTO

Scope: Celestron EdgeHD 11 (primary mirror locked down)

Focuser: Moonlight CHL 2.5 inch Large Format Crayford EDGE Focuser

Guiding: Celestron OAG with ZWO ASI174MM Mini Monochrome Camera

Filter Wheel: ZWO 8 position wheel

Camera: ZWO ASI 1600MM Cooled Pro (or 183MM cooled Pro - not shown here)

A few notes:

- OTA alone is 28 lbs, and with all of the accessories adds up to 36 lbs.

- I wrapped the OTA Tube in Reflectix, per many recent forum discussions on managing thermals in the tube.

- I am using a heated dew shield, as well as a dew band behind the corrector.

- This system requires 146.5mm of backfocus between the back flange and the camera sensor. With my focuser, OAG, and filter wheel (see image B above), I only had a few mm to spare. I will also be adding the 0.7 reducer to this train, but it goes in front of the focuser and does not change the amount of backfocus.

Happy to answer any questions, or suggestions for improvement.

My 2019 setup for my Tak130 is here.
